New Zealand Clinch Tri-Nation Title: Beat Pakistan

February 14, 2025, New Zealand won the Tri-Nation Series final in Karachi, defeating Pakistan by five wickets. At the National Stadium, New Zealand chased down Pakistan's 242 in 45.2 overs. With this victory, New Zealand won the Tri-Series for the third time in a row and took home the championship.

The victory for New Zealand was based on half-centuries by Tom Latham (56 off 64 balls) and Daryl Mitchell (57 off 58 balls). Pakistan was limited to 242 runs in 49.3 overs thanks in part to Will O'Rourke's outstanding bowling performance, which saw him take 4-43.

Innings for Pakistan: After winning the toss, Pakistan decided to bat first. With 46 runs, Mohammad Rizwan led Pakistan's batting attack, followed by 45 by Salman Agha. Pakistan had trouble on a difficult field.

Champions Trophy Preparation: On February 19 at the same location, Pakistan and New Zealand will play each other again in the Champions Trophy 2025 opening match.

Milestone: Babar Azam became the 29th player to achieve 6,000 ODI runs, tying the record set by Hashim Amla in 123 innings.
